With advanced features of the Universal II PD pump, the Universal II Bio-Pharmaceutical is designed for the special requirements of pharmaceutical and biotech processes.

  • 316 stainless steel rotors standard; exclusive, non-galling Waukesha "88" alloy rotors optional
  • 316 stainless steel product contact surfaces standard; 316L stainless steel or electropolish of all product contact surfaces optional
  • Stainless steel bearing frame
  • Additional option: seal flush
  • Maximum pressure: 200-300 psi depending on model; (13.8-20.7 bar)
  • Maximum temperature: -40°F. (-40°C) to 300°F (149°C.)

In the Bio-Pharmaceutical industry, these pumps are manufactured to ASME BPE specification criteria. All product contact components are machined from wrought <5% ferrite level, 316L SS, and feature a 20 Ra product contact surface finish. Material heat numbers are available on all product contact components.

Features Include:

  • High efficiency, low NPSHR design for a wide variety of applications
  • One size mechanical seal for all 200 Series models; reducing parts inventory and cost (commercial seals available)
  • Integral impeller/shaft design for fewer parts, greater concentricity and easy maintenance
  • Close coupled pumps use NEMA JM Frame motors with larger diameter shafts and bearings (compared to C Frame motors)
  • All WCB 200 Series impellers are made from wrought 316L SS
  • Horizontal, vertical, and 45° angle discharge port orientation available

Optional:

  • 15 Ra., electropolish, and passivation product contact surface finishes
  • WFI seal arrangements
  • Double mechanical seals < adapter motor SS>
  • Casing drain
  • SS motors
Waukesha Cherry-Burrell W80 series valve adapterWCB W80 Series Aseptic Valve APV: Paraflow Heat Exchanger PhotographCR Mixer

A great solution for aseptic applications, this valve series utilizes a stem flush adapter to provide a liquid or steam barrier around the valve stem.

The flush adapter is a direct replacement for the standard adapter piece, maintaining the same dimensions as the W60 Series and providing the same complete, flexible offering:

  • W81/W83 - Shut Off
  • W82/W85 - Divert
  • W84/W84R - Tank Outlet
  • W88/W88R/W882 - Throttling

Patented high-shear mixing technology that produces uniform, stable emulsions, dispersions and foams. Combines product recycling and shear action that can be "tuned" to produce precise effect desired. Varying rotor speed and controlling back pressure at discharge port determine the number of passes the product makes through the mixing zone. For heat-sensitive products (e.g., eggs, latex), incremental mixing moderates temperature rise.

  • Precise, fast, economical mixing
  • Overruns beyond 300%
  • Full control over amount, intensity, duration of mixing, blending, dispersing, beating or whipping action
  • Incremental mixing for heat-sensitive products
  • Process-matched to broad range of products: liquid-liquid, liquid-gas, liquid-solids
  • Ideal for both continuous in-line use or side-arm, sequence use in batch operations

Universal lobe pumps feature bi-directional flow with a free draining internal flat profile pump body. Uniquely designed Waukesha "88" alloy rotors permit running at tighter clearances and higher efficiencies. Fully CIPable, the lobe pump body offers an alternative to higher priced external circumferential piston PD pumps.

Features Include:

  • Free draining cover in horizontal or vertical port position
  • Rotor/shaft connection sealed from product zone
  • Exclusive, non-galling Waukesha "88" alloy rotors
  • Mechanical seals standard; single or flushed double seals optional
  • Optional steam-in-place and seal flush
  • 316 stainless steel pump body and cover; 316L pump body optional
  • Additional options: jacketed cover, steam-in-place and seal flush, stainless steel bearing frame, electropolish of product contact surfaces
  • Maximum pressure: 200-300 psi (13.8-20.7 bar), depending on model
  • Temperature range: -40° F. (-40° C.) to 300° F. (149° C.)

Series Liquid Ring Pump handles products with entrained air as well as maintaining its prime when otherpumps become air bound. This feature makes the 200LR the best choice for complete emptying of tanks and lines during normal processes or CIP.

In addition to being an excellent CIP return pump, the 200LR can run in either direction, making it possible to fill or empty tanks with the same pump.

Features Include:

  • Less overhead space needed due to both suction and discharge ports being on the front cover.
  • Same seal(s) as used in 200 Series Centrifugal Pumps.
  • Reduced noise levels.
  • Stainless steel motor adapter is standard.
  • JM Motor and no stub shaft eliminates need to check TIR (Total Indicated Runout).
  • All product contact surfaces are 316L stainless steel with 32Ra finish.
  • Single or double mechanical seal available (size and materials same as WCB's 200 Series Centrifugal Pumps).
  • Optional 25 or 20 Ra and/or electropolish product surfaces available.
  • Optional 1" casing drain with 1" S-clamp connection available
  • Fluorocarbon elastomers standard. EPDM and silicone optional. All are FDA compliant per 21CFR177.2600.
