Low-fat Butter
Within the last few years, a considerable amount of development within the production of low-fat butter and dairy blends has taken place. This is to a large extent due to the customers’ increasing demands for products containing less fat, particularly less butter fat, and for products with better spreadability directly from the refrigerator.
Furthermore, there is demand for additive reduction along with the customers’ desire for fresh products with a long shelf life. These circumstances led SPX into developing new processes for producing low-fat butter without using additives, which are not a natural constituent in milk and a process for producing dairy blends directly from butter.
Dairy Blend - New Trend
Dairy blends or dairy spreads have become very popular due to their spreadability at refrigeration temperatures. SPX has been involved in these products for a long period of time and has developed and produced a new economical process for manufacturing dairy blends.
